Governor Andy Beshear joined representatives of Toyota Boshoku America, Inc. and local leaders in Christian County today to announce the establishment of a new automotive parts manufacturing facility in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.

The global automotive supplier will invest $225 million and create 157 jobs in the company’s first ever “smart plant” location.
The new Kentucky factory will produce seat frame mechanism parts such as seat tracks, seat recliners and motor with gear. The 327,000-square-foot building will occupy 48 acres, with operation start planned for 2025. Located in the Hopkinsville’s South Park Development, construction began in June 2023.
With today’s announcement, Toyota Boshoku Corporation’s President, Masayoshi Shirayanagi, stated, “We aim to not only create new jobs and invest in a smart manufacturing facility, but also to promote a more efficient and environmentally responsible operation.” The facility seeks to create a positive environmental impact that benefits the local community.

Christian County officials and the Tennessee Valley Authority, along with South Western Kentucky Economic Development, welcomed Toyota Boshoku’s investment in the area.
